All original RRSEF (middle school) and ISEF (high school) paperwork must be turned in or mailed to the Community Education Office by 4 p.m. on January 11, 2019. Be certain that you have followed the directions carefully, that you have attached required materials (i.e. research plan, abstract), and that you have obtained the necessary signatures before you submit your paperwork.
  1. Review your packet of paperwork – preferably with your Adult Sponsor – to ensure all forms have been completed.
  2. DO use a binder clip (or a paper clip) to keep your original documents together. Do NOT staple your paperwork; do NOT place your paperwork in a folder.
  3. DO keep a copy of your packet of paperwork for your project notebook.
  4. Original paperwork must be submitted to the Community Education Office at Northrop, 201 8th Street NW, Rochester, MN 55901 or postmarked no later than January 11, 2019.
Project Posters: Judging will occur at the Fair during various time slots based on level, category, and quality; more information about poster display guidelines and Fair judging will be available at the RRSEF website before the Fair. A tentative Fair schedule is available here.

Research Papers: In addition to the registration guidelines above, you must submit five copies of your final research paper to the Community Education Office by 4 p.m. on January 28, 2019 so they can be distributed to judges in advance. A tentative Fair schedule is available here.

Teams: If you have a team that will present a paper or project, all members of the team must be registered separately for the RRSEF by January 11, 2019 to be eligible to participate in the Fair. Only one copy of your paperwork for the project needs to be submitted to the Community Education Office. However, all teammates must have signatures from their parents/guardians on the appropriate form(s) to be cleared for competition.
